The Sunshine Blogger Award

Hey everyone! I’ve been lucky enough to be nominated by the gorgeous Paris from The Girl in Flat 26 for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Paris is one of the most supportive and uplifting bloggers I’ve been lucky enough to ‘meet’ in the blogosphere, so if you haven’t already checked her blog out, do it now by clicking the link above! Thanks for the nomination Paris, now let’s get to it!

The Rules!

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions given to you by the nominator
  3. Write 11 questions for your nominees
  4. Nominate 11 people to take part

Questions For Me!

Ok, here are the questions given to me by Paris…

If you had to pick one to quit forever, would you choose music or TV? I would straight away ditch TV! Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m really not that bothered about any TV programmes and can easily go days without watching any (if it weren’t for everyone else in the house having it on all the time) whereas I listen to music EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It helps me concentrate when I’m working, helps me chill when I’m stressed, and cheers me up when I’m upset or whatever.

Describe your perfect day. This is actually something I’ve never really thought about! Ok… I guess it would be getting up and having a favourite breakfast… maybe something like cinnamon and raisin bagels with a bit of Philly cheese and berries on top, and a coffee, OBVS! Then just spending the day doing things like reading, watching YouTube videos of my boys Take That, browsing websites for clothes and home accessories and maybe do things like paint my nails, put a face mask and hair mask on. I think a chill day sounds perfect to me because I can’t remember the last time I had one!

What are your top 3 driving/public transport songs? At the moment I love Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, I Don’t Care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber and Old Town Road by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus. Otherwise, I’m usually listening to a Take That song/playlist of some kind. Can you tell I’m a massive fan yet?

Unless blogging is your job, what do you do for a living? If blogging is your job now, what did you do before? At the moment I work in a college looking as a Registers & Timetabling Officer, but at the beginning of July, I’ll be starting a new job as an Administrative Assistant in an independent school! I’ve switched jobs as this one has better holidays which will help us out massively (as well as the bigger pay packet lol) but more importantly, I feel like I’m ready for a new challenge and am looking forward to getting stuck in!

What did you do for your last birthday? Is it bad that I can’t actually remember?! It seems like such a long time ago now! I was going to say we went out for a meal but I’m not sure we did now I’ve come to think of it. It’s only 6 days after Sam’s birthday and we definitely went out for dinner for hers. How silly I can remember that but not mine lol!

Would you rather revisit your past or visit your future? I think I’d revisit my past, mainly because I don’t want to spoil what the future holds! I’d definitely have a word with myself so I could have a better relationship with food and not put myself down so much.

What’s your favourite way to relax? I definitely don’t do this enough so this is kind of difficult to answer! However, I always feel chilled when I’m on the sofa with my laptop… normally that means that I’ve got all the jobs done for the day and I’ve actually got time to do something that I want to do, not what I need to do!

Think of your most vivid dream. What was it about? I hardly ever remember my dreams, but one I always remember from when I was younger, was being taken to the fair by my Little Nan (if you don’t know about her, I wrote a post about her here) and I went on the Waltzer ride. When I got off, everyone else at the fair looked like my nan, like EXACTLY like her. Obviously, being about 7 or 8, I was petrified but I eventually found the right one by asking a question that only she would know the answer to. So when she recited an old Austrian nursery rhyme she used to sing to us, we went home happy after she bought me some candy floss and nougat!

Would you prefer a night in or a night out? Describe it! I think I’d choose a night out with my friends. Although we always have a fab time whatever we do, we do love going out for a meal and a few drinks! We normally meet up in the pub, go for a meal and end up back in the pub again afterwards!

Which is your favourite clothes shop online and in the high street? I think online would have to be Simply Be (or my fat catalogue as I call it lol), or Dorothy Perkins. I’ve put that in the online section as I can never find one on the high street anymore. On the high street, I LOVE Next! I usually end up buying something for the home while I’m in there too so everyone’s a winner (except our bank balance).

Name one of your goals for this week/month/year. I think my main goal for this year is to educate myself on how to eat and exercise to make myself healthy. I joined something called Ditch the Diet Academy to help me along the way so I’m hopeful it’ll all turn out well for me!

My Questions for You!

Ok, if you’re still reading… here are my questions for my nominees:

  1. Are you an iPhone or Android user, and why?
  2. List your ideal 3 course meal… feel free to mix up cuisines!
